Grammar 1
The GRAMMAR 1 for the MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT course provides an excellent foundation for the aspiring Grammar student. Modern English Grammar is a systematic and rigorous survey of the structure of contemporary English grammar. The course also explores usage problems associated with contemporary grammar in both speech and writing. Grammar is that system of principles and rules that allow us to organize our words and sentences into coherent, meaningful language. The curriculum provides students an opportunity to achieve the following broad instructional areas:
The structure of English: parts of speech, subject-verb and pronoun-antecedent agreement, correct pronoun usage, correct use of verbs, and glossary of usage.
Sentence structure problems.
Students can expect homework, quizzes, a mid-term and a final. Grades will be given.
